Course Description:

Geometry is the mathematical study of questions of shape, size, relative position of figures, and the properties of space. This course covers concepts in the foundations of Geometry and analysis of space from a geometric perspective, and balances those concepts and skills with activities that allow students to make the connection between the material learned and the world around them. TG’s Geometry Regents course maps out the foundations of Geometry and Introductory Trigonometry necessary for students to gain mastery in this subject as well as establishing a solid foundation in Trigonometry for more advanced mathematical study.

About Instructors

Kenneth Rochelle
Mr. Rochelle has been teaching for fifteen years with experience as a college math professor, a high school and middle school teacher and as an SAT and math tutor.
Tsivia Morrison
Tsivia Morrison holds a B.Sc. from University College in London and a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education from Middlesex University.
Danny DiDomenico
Danny Didomenico is a veteran online instructor who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and music from Bennington College. Danny has been working with students for over 10 years, both in the classroom and online.
Stefan Trienekens
Mr. Trienekens has extensive experience tutoring small groups of up to four students in biology, college-level remedial math, writing, physics and history.
Rachel Kaufman
Ms. Kaufman’s experience includes teaching both mainstream and special needs elementary school students. In addition, she has taught adult education classes and worked as a private piano teacher.
Momeena Garcia
Momeena Garcia teaches math (K-12 and college), English language arts (elementary and middle school), special education (K-12), and Spanish, as well as preparation for exams such as the SAT and ACT.
Alex Lasky
Ms. Lasky says her educational philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: "Practice, practice, practice until no numbers can surprise you."
Edith Castro
Ms. Castro teaches middle and high school math up to calculus, with special expertise in algebra at all levels. She uses technology extensively.
Betsy Weber
"I believe that all students can and will learn if they are motivated, engaged, and given enough time," she says. "Students are individuals and so are their needs. I always want to know if there is a better way to teach a lesson, and go in search of tools or ideas that would take my lessons to the next level."
