
About Kenneth Rochelle
Ken Rochelle holds an M.B.A in Information Systems as well as a B.A. in Accounting. He teaches ACT preparation, geometry, trigonometry, and GED preparation. He has particular expertise in math, algebra and SAT preparation.
Mr. Rochelle has been teaching for fifteen years with experience as a college math professor, a high school and middle school teacher and as an SAT and math tutor. He describes his biggest motivation in teaching as “my students – it gives me great joy when I hear my students talk about their achievements.”
He also believes that,” learning can and should be fun and that students who are active participants learn much more than those whose participation is largely passive.”
In addition to teaching, Mr. Rochelle is also a marathon runner.

William Floyd
Mr. Floyd has worked as an Admissions Counselor at Sarah Lawrence College and as an independent college counselor.

Jonathan Littler
Mr. Littler currently teaches anatomy/physiology, microbiology and chemistry at Rhodes State University and is certified by the state of Ohio to teach general science, biology, chemistry physics and earth science.

Taji Elmor
Prof. Elmor’s goal is “to inspire a love of the Arabic language in my students; to nurture an appreciation of Arabic culture through language, poetry and content curated to each student’s learning ability”.

Emma Rinaldi
Ms. Rinaldi’s experience includes working with a wide array of students from elementary school to adult education in nine different countries across 5 continents, including special needs students.

Tsivia Morrison
Tsivia Morrison holds a B.Sc. from University College in London and a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education from Middlesex University.

Rachael Prensner
Ms. Prensner likes to break down texts with her literature students, building up analytical skills that serve them well in other classes as well.

Emily Odell
Ms. Odell has extensive experience teaching biology along with earth science, and worked for ten years as a math tutor. She is also a strong believer in innovative teaching methods making extensive use of smart boards and tablet computers.

Danny DiDomenico
Danny Didomenico is a veteran online instructor who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and music from Bennington College. Danny has been working with students for over 10 years, both in the classroom and online.

Stefan Trienekens
Mr. Trienekens has extensive experience tutoring small groups of up to four students in biology, college-level remedial math, writing, physics and history.

Shirley Esfandiari
Ms. Esfandiari specializes in high-school US history and world history, including honors courses in both subjects.

Rachel Kaufman
Ms. Kaufman’s experience includes teaching both mainstream and special needs elementary school students. In addition, she has taught adult education classes and worked as a private piano teacher.

Momeena Garcia
Momeena Garcia teaches math (K-12 and college), English language arts (elementary and middle school), special education (K-12), and Spanish, as well as preparation for exams such as the SAT and ACT.

Luisa Frias
Ms. Frias teaches elementary and high school literature, reading, English and college-level pedagogy and business. She also has training by the AVID organization in how to teach for college readiness.

Michael Golabek
Mr. Golabek holds an M.A. in teaching and an M.Ed. in educational technology. He holds an Illinois teaching license, and is certified in secondary education (English language arts grades 6-12) and special education.

Alex Lasky
Ms. Lasky says her educational philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: “Practice, practice, practice until no numbers can surprise you.”

Bill Litwack
Mr. Litwack loves to learn as well as teach, and brings his curiosity and knowledge on a wide range of topics into the classroom, such as history, sociology, philosophy, and more.

Edith Castro
Ms. Castro teaches middle and high school math up to calculus, with special expertise in algebra at all levels. She uses technology extensively.

Josh McLaurin
Mr. McLaurin has also been trained by the College Board to teach AP courses, and to teach for the ACT exam.

Judy Powell
Ms. Powell is certified in New York to teach social studies and special education social studies to grades 7-12; in California to teach social sciences and special education (moderate disabilities) to grades K-12; and in Massachusetts to teach history and political science/philosophy to grades 8-12.

Betsy Weber
“I believe that all students can and will learn if they are motivated, engaged, and given enough time,” she says. “Students are individuals and so are their needs. I always want to know if there is a better way to teach a lesson, and go in search of tools or ideas that would take my lessons to the next level.”
